TOUGHENED GLASS
|
When laminated glass gets broken into sharp shards which are dangerous and harmful, toughened glasses get shuttered into harmless fine droplets. Toughened glass even if it is broken will not cause any severe injury or deep cuts/lacerations.Chemically and thermally treated toughened glasses have enormous strength. They withstand even very high temperatures like those existing in electric lamps, heavy boilers etc.. |
| TOUGHEND GLASS – WHERE THEY ARE USED |
Toughened classes offer great looks to any architecture they are incorporated in. From outdoor wall panels to interior doors and decors, toughened glasses contribute a lot towards the trendy looks of today’s constructions. Toughened glass can be used to make frameless doors. They can also be use d to make partitions inside the building instead of walls.
In automobiles, toughened glass can be confidently used for side and rear windows. Trains can have doors of toughened glass for that added safety and extra strength. Even if broken, toughened glass shatters in to small cuboids which are harmless.

As they are scratch resistant, toughened glasses are being used in mobile phones. Thermally treated toughened glass has wide applications in the cooking and baking sector. From oven to the cooking dishes, toughened glass plays important role.
Toughened glass offers great strength to furniture. They are used on dining tables as they can withstand both temperature and weight. Even if we place just cooked hot thing on them, they are safe. |
| LAMINATED GLASS |
Laminated glass is a composite multilayered glass. It has a PVB (Poly Vinyl Butyral) inner layer sandwiched between two or more layers of glass. When it is broken, laminated glass holds in place and because of this nature it is considered a safety glass. Laminated glass is characterized by good sound insulation index. It also blocks almost 99% UV rays transmitted through it.

Laminated glass is very strong that it does not break into large sharp pieces which may cause wounds and injury to humans. Thus you can see the characteristic spider web pattern on a laminated glass when it is broken but not enough to get completely pierced.

| LAMINATED GLASS – WHERE THEY ARE USED |
Laminated glass is mainly used to fabricate automobile windshields.Laminated glass is used in circumstances where it is feared that there may be human contact. Laminated glass, by not breaking into large shards, offers safety at such places. Also at places where glass is likely to shatter, laminated glass finds a way to there.
In geographical locations requiring cyclone-resistant constructions, laminated glasses are used in exterior storefronts, windows and curtain walls.
